As a child: When Santa arrived Christmas Eve with a bag full of toys all my brothers and sisters went crazy, as did I. He must have come back because the next morning there were unopened presents.
As an adult: Family! Brothers, sisters, my mother & father who are still going strong at 90. And, especially our daughter, son-in-law and Granddaughter!!!
Favorite toy: Erector Set
Comments: Thank you for making me take the time to remember.
As a child: Santa coming to our house before Christmas. (we didn't know that daddy paid to have this happen) When Santa came in the living room, me and my sisters ran to our bedroom crying and trying to find a place to hide. It may not sound like a fond memory - but we've laughed about it for years now.
As an adult: It's all about memories, family and doing everything I can to make it a happy time for my son even when times are tough and there's not much to give - we have each other.
Favorite toy: The very first Barbie. Even though she had to stay in that bathing suit for almost a year before we could afford a dress for her.
Comments: Thank you for this awesome holiday card. I needed a boost to get my Christmas spirit going and this hit the spot. It made my heart swell and made me weepy too. Great job. Merry Christmas to you all...
As a child: My favorite memory is waking up with my sisters early in the morning to find a Barbie Dream House all set up in the living room from Santa. It was the best gift ever!
As an adult: Life is busy and it's a time to stop, relax, and enjoy friends and family and be thankful for the wonderful blessings I have in life. It's a time to worship and remember what Christmas is all about. It's my favorite time of year and gives me warm, happy feelings!
Favorite toy: Barbie Dream House
Comments: I love the Christmas card! Every year it gets better and even more creative. Good job everyone!
As a child: I was just a little boy and we were living in Pittsburgh, a neighbor came dressed as Santa. Blew my mind. Especially since I knew most of the kids on the street were playing with dreidles. Oy to the world!
As an adult: Time to relax with family, visit with friends and a brief visit to that warm, fuzzy childhood place. Coffee and a generous helping of Bailey's sets the mood.
Favorite toy: A big honking metal P-47 with retracting landing gear!
Comments: Shalom and Happy Chrismakah!
As a child: One year, Santa left me a letter by the cookies and fudge I left him. He told me not to be mean to my little brother. Apparently, he'd heard some things.
As an adult: The season of Christmas always brings very busy schedules with school and church activities, but is always met with joy in my heart. Last year, my girls and I sang "Silent Night" together for the first time at church for Christmas with my youngest performing sign language. What a heart-felt experience! Seeing the faith and the hope of Christ in my children is indeed the best gift I have ever received!
Favorite toy: Stuffed Humpty Dumpty pillow, I carried that thing everywhere!
Comments: Thank you for sharing such incredible creativity. I enjoyed reading, seeing, and hearing your individual stories! As a client, I applaud your decision to take the gift budget and give to Toys for Tots! Merry Christmas.
As a child: Probably time spent w/grandparents over the holidays.
As an adult: Time to reflect, thanks, and sharing with others.
Favorite toy: games of any kind
Comments: Jon and gang, great stuff. Thanks
As a child: Santa came each year on Christmas Eve when us kids were taking our baths. We were always making noise and splashing around and when we heard Santa's bells jingle we were stuck in the tub and couldn't run out to see him. It was never hard for our parents to get us to take our baths on Christmas Eve!
As an adult: I love making Christmas magical for my family and sharing time together with them.
Favorite toy: Terry Lee Doll
Comments: Your Christmas card idea is awesome. Loved getting insight into each of you.
